300w led parking lot light

First impressions are important, and safety is everything! While many building owners focus on an inviting environment inside their building, they often neglect the parking lot. If light fixtures in your parking lot are dim, flickering or even burnt out, visitors to your establishment will feel unsafe and not so welcome.

HTM Lighting Solutions is here to give your parking lot a facelift from those old, outdated, and inefficient parking lot fixtures you have! The most effective way to accomplish this is by upgrading to outdoor LED lighting, which comes with a long list of benefits including minimal maintenance, lower energy costs, and higher light quality!

Minimal Maintenance:

Many parking lot fixtures use High Intensity Discharge (HID) bulbs in their fixtures, including Metal Halide (MH) and High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) bulbs. These HID bulbs have an average life of 15,000 hours, which is no comparison to their competition of LED lights! LED’s have an average life of 50,000 hours, and some LED fixtures have a lifespan of 100,000 hours! By the time you replace your LED light, you would have already changed your HID bulbs at least 3-6 times, which doesn’t include those pricey ballast replacements either! Not only are you going to save in labor costs, but you will also save in product costs and overlooked fees such as renting a lift to reach the fixtures when replacement or electrical work is needed.

Lower Energy Costs:

Considering parking lot fixtures consume a substantial amount of energy, especially if older technology is being utilized, your electric bill is most likely not very appealing. Typically, HID bulbs will consume between 250-400 watts per bulb, while the LED equivalents use a fraction of this energy – about 60-150 watts per bulb or fixture! As we know, the upfront costs of converting to LED have been controversial, but they have continued to decrease, and most will see a return on investment within two years of converting to LED products.

Higher Light Quality:

The CRI (Color Rendering Index) is an important key note to keep in mind while making the decision to convert over to LED. While most HID bulbs give off that orange glow and they tend to have a lower CRI, LED lights provide a higher CRI and give off a more daylight white glow! The higher the CRI, the more accurate the color and clarity is perceived in comparison to a natural light source. Not only will this lighting improvement help your visitors see more clearly, but this will give your building a more appealing and inviting touch.

HTM Lighting Solutions offers many diverse solutions to upgrade your existing parking lot lighting to LED such as our well-known LED Shoe Box fixtures! Other options range from converting to LED wall packs, LED Flood Lights fixtures, or simply changing just the bulb to an LED bulb and eliminating the ballast! We are happy to help find the perfect solution for your upgrade and can provide various options to fit your personalized need.
