LED Corn Lights are Highly Efficient
Whether retrofitting parking lot fixtures, wall packs, or other fixtures, switching out metal halide bulbs to LED provides an increased energy efficiency.
For example, our 80W LED Corn Light provides the same light output as a 250W MH Bulb, but uses less than a third of the energy. Over time, this will lead to lower energy consumption and a lower energy bill overall!
Lower Maintenance Costs
Furthermore, maintenance costs are going to be significantly lower due to the long lifespans that LEDs offer. Our LED Corn Lights are rated for 50,000 hours of use compared to the 10,000-20,000 hours typical of metal halide bulbs, meaning fewer bulb replacements will be needed.
A side benefit to consider with LED Corn Lights is thanks to the design, as these are not typically made with fragile glass, instead opting for a more secure and shatterproof plastic design. As a result, there is less chance of these being damaged during installation, and fewer spare replacements will be needed!
Application Versatility
With LED Retrofitting, having an adaptable and minimal design is useful for products that can be used in a variety of applications. One thing to keep in mind with retrofitting to LED is the size of the housing. Since LED light is unidirectional, additional reflectors become obsolete and can be removed for better space and additional heat dissipation.
